HAMST Historical Military Re-enactment Group

The historical military re-enactment group is a sub group of HAMST and has been created to assist those with the passion of bringing our military history alive. The group is responsible for attending remembrance and educational events with military vehicles, artillery and small arms and conducting historical firearm demonstrations. In this way the group is able to bring visual attachment to these important events as we remember the sacrifice of so many during conflicts over the years.

HAMST have been assisting with these events for many years and the establishment of this group formalizes its activities with basic training to ensure the group continues to be a safe active part of community events in the future.
The HAMST committee fully supports these members and if you have a similar interest and would like to learn the intricacies of the a 25lb artillery gun, muzzle loader or historical small arms, please don't hesitate to contact Richard, Andrew or Rob, who I'm sure will be happy to chat with you about this groups activities.

The group is:
-
managed by the Executive of HAMST with three members as sub-committee managers.
-
promotes safe, interesting, enjoyable and historical community re-enactment activities.
-
are bound by the rules and constitution of HAMST.
-
are responsible for attending military re-enactment events.
-
will liaise with similar minded groups and organizations to share skills and knowledge of historical re-enactment activities.
-
will provide safe, educational displays of military history and firearms.
-
will be responsible for all necessary permits and authorisations to ensure compliance with the Tasmanian Firearms Act.
If you would enjoy being part of an enthusiastic group living our military history in a safe and respectful environment with like minded people, please contact one of the committee members, have a chat and explore your passion.
